  • Ride-a-thon with prizes for the largest donation/pledge amounts school, media, corporate and individual divisions.  Prizes for most laps - male and female: 3 deep.

This event was held at the retired El Toro Marine base and was the first of its kind in Orange County.  Sponsored by the Orange County Sheriff's Advisory Countil and run by volunteers for the Orange County Sheriff's Department, it was a successful way of raising money for the Project 999 Fund.  The course itself was unique in that there was not automobile traffic.  Further, a variety of races and activities appealed to all levels and types of bicycle enthusiasts, including an 8.5 mile ride-around-the-base with separate fast and slow lanes.  Thank you to all that joined us in Riding to Remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
