Visiting boaters have the choice of anchorage or guest slips.
Two anchorages are available. Both are designated by yellow buoys and yellow signage on the seawalls. One anchorage is at the east end of the harbor, near bait barge. The second is in the west end, adjacent to the Ocean Institute. Pursuant to Sec. 2-2-66 - Temporary anchorage grounds. No person shall anchor a vessel in a harbor area designated as temporary
anchorage except as permitted by Federal statutes and regulations and in accordance with conditions established by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. Maximum stay is five days in any 30 day span. Guest Slip facilities in the harbor are managed by: Dana Point Marina Company and Embarcadero Marina.
