Law Enforcement Contract Services develops and administers law enforcement services contract with 12 cities, the Orange County Transportation Authority, the U.S. Forest Service, and the Orange County Fair, which together total over $99 million in FY 2008-09. In addition, the Division develops and administers a contract for forensic services with the City of Garden Grove, joint powers authority agreements with Capistrano Unified School District for school resource deputy sheriffs, joint powers authority agreements with Inyo and Mono counties for autopsy services, and joint powers authority agreements for forensic services with various local jurisdictions outside the County. The Division also develops and administers a contract with the California Department of Forestry for call-when-needed helicopter services. Agreements for law enforcement services are entered into periodically with other cities, agencies and private entities.
