    Clerical Unit

    The Clerical Unit is comprised of five office personnel with primary responsibility for all aspects of maintaining and managing Coroner records. They perform data entry into the Coroner’s CME program and are responsible for quality control on all the data entered into the system by other units. They respond to public record act requests; log and track incoming and outgoing information; collect fees for reports; transcribe all autopsy, microscopic and neuropathic reports; manage subpoenas for the coroner staff; field phone calls; and interface with grieving family members and visitors at the front counter.
