    City of Yorba Linda Overview

    The Orange County Sheriff's Department is proud to be the provider of local law enforcement services for the City of Yorba Linda. The Sheriff's Department has provided law enforcement services to the City of Yorba Linda since January of 2013.

    Yorba Linda is a largely residential community with a population of more than 68,000. Yorba Linda has over 100 miles of equestrian trails throughout the community. All public schools in the community are under the jurisdiction of the Placentia - Yorba Linda Unified School District and consist of seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school.

    The City of Yorba Linda contracts with the Orange County Sheriff's Department for Police Services. The Sheriff's Department is responsible for providing for the protection of citizens, the enforcement of laws, and crime prevention. Law enforcement services include patrol, general and special crime investigation, traffic enforcement, collision investigation, parking enforcement, and a crime prevention unit.
